International perspectives
Globalisation has meant that property markets across the world are now affected by a range of common drivers and influences.
Many of the UK's leading practitioners in agency, architecture, construction and surveying have established ‘EMEA’ (Europe, Middle East and Africa) structures to capitalise on the development of these markets. Others have been active in the growing markets of Eastern Europe, South East Asia, the Far East, and South America, with a particular focus on Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Brazil and Dubai. Residential, leisure and office markets have become energetic sectors in these economies, although levels of sophistication, best practice, and nature of valuation vary greatly.
CEM is recruiting a growing number of overseas students from around the world and this will be reflected in the increasing international scope of our research over the next few years.
