Sustainability for Real Estate Investment
At CEM we have a great deal of expertise in the critical issue of sustainability to help contribute to greater understanding within the profession. As industry and wider public awareness of climate change and sustainable development has increased, we have looked for solutions to the seemingly intractable problems of achieving economic growth and social stability within the limitations of the Earth’s environmental resources. Developed by CEM in partnership with Legal & General, this course is primarily designed for people employed in the real estate and construction industry, such as investors, developers, fund or asset property managers, building surveyors, project managers, quantity surveyors and facilities managers.

If you successfully complete all elements of the course you will receive a CEM certificate, 65 hours of CPD and 6 credit points towards the CEM Framework for Lifelong Learning Certificate. The course provides the requisite knowledge that underpins the RICS mandatory sustainability competency.
The course is divided into three sections: Strategy, Development and In Use. Assignments must be completed for each Knowledge File. Participants will receive 15 individual Knowledge Files which contain a topic précis, essential reading documents, audio and/or video file recordings of experts in the field and useful reference documents.
